The “Recover Deleted Photos” and “Recover Lost Photos” is basically the same as searching for lost and/or deleted files, with the exceptions being that only standard multimedia files are scanned for, and a second algorithm is implemented to search specifically for those file types. On a different drive, the results were identical, but produced an actual file list. The scan took approximately 5 minutes to perform.Īs you can see, the search results are pretty much identical, with the exception of a file types filter. Having known the majority of the files that were on the drive previously (mostly pictures), I opted to scan for those instead of selecting all of the file types. It let’s you snag what you need to recover and nothing else unless you want it. This is a great option if let’s say you just want media or just. Going back and instead selecting “Recover Lost Files” allows the user to select which file types to scan for. The end result of searching for deleted files. The only real difference between these two options is that the “Recover Lost Files” option displays a screen where the user can select what files to scan for. I decided to use both options, however, the end result will be the same in most cases. These are “Recover Deleted Files” and “Recover Lost Files.” Later on, when testing on a different drive. The choices are “Recover Files”, “Recover Photos” and “Recover Partitions/Drives”.Īfter selecting “Recover Files”, the user is presented with two more options. Once Remo Recover is installed, the home screen is shown with three options for the user to choose from. The installation takes up approximately 75MB of hard drive space. The installation of Remo Recover took approximately 3 minutes to complete. The wide range of recover options makes this a perfect solution for almost all data recover jobs. Overall we are normally able to recover all most all data from client computers using this software.
